There is this little path on our way to the grocery store.
In late summer it’s the place where juicy blackberries grow,
in winter it becomes icy and an adventure to cross.
Most people won’t call it special, to me it is.
Surrounded by ugly buildings and cars, right next to
But it’s a little hidden and secret, there are all kinds of wild flowers growing,
a dove family is crossing the sky above me now and then, a couple
of birches have their home there
and the shadows of the grass create the most beautiful shadow play
on the ground.
It’s a tiny corner of nature in our city
that blooms in yellow this Spring.
And I’m right there to feel it all.
